Greater Roadrunner

Greater Roadrunner

The largest North American cuckoo and the signature bird of the desert Southwest. During the 20th century, its range expanded all the way to southern Missouri and western Louisiana. This particular Roadrunner visits my home almost daily and while still very much a wild bird it has become very used to me.
