Pyrrhuloxia

Cardinalis sinuatus - year-round - eats insects, seeds and fruits

Pyrrhuloxia

A frequent and trusting visitor to my yard. Enjoys all kinds of fruit and seeds. One of the last birds to leave the feeders in the evening, often staying through sunset and dusk. The name "Pyrrhuloxia" is a combination of the names Pyrrhula (flame-colored) and Loxia (crooked, for the beak).
